Linda Moxley has been in leadership positions in the arts for over 30 years and joined Sarasota Concert Association as Executive Director in October 2020.
As the first Executive Director in the organization’s 80-year history, Linda is responsible for all aspects of the Sarasota Concert Association’s operations, from programming to fundraising, in collaboration with members of the Board.
With extensive experience in branding, project management and marketing campaign development, Linda has also launched PR campaigns locally, regionally and internationally in Europe and Asia. She coordinated the media coverage for four international concert tours, including a European tour with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, as well as two Asian tours and a U.K. tour with the Baltimore Symphony.
In addition to managing various fundraising events, Linda was responsible for generating $8 million annually in ticket revenue, and developing marketing campaigns for over 200 concerts each season. She also managed the market research and focus groups which led to the opening of Strathmore Performing Arts Center in Bethesda, MD.
Linda’s previous positions have included serving as Vice President of Marketing, and Director of Artistic and Education Programs with the Baltimore Symphony; Executive Director of Baltimore Choral Arts Society, President of Moxley Communications, Marketing and Public Relations Director with the Atlanta Symphony; and Associate Director of Marketing and Public Relations, and Pops Coordinator with the San Francisco Symphony.
Currently a member of the national board of Chorus America, Linda has also served on the boards of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, the American Marketing Association, and the National Academy of Recording, Arts and Sciences. Linda has taught Arts Management courses as Adjunct Professor in the Business School at Goucher College in Baltimore, and she has been a guest lecturer on the arts at Johns Hopkins University, Notre Dame College, and San Francisco State University. She has conducted Marketing and PR seminars in New York City for the League of American Orchestras, and in Ufa, Russia, for the League of Russian Orchestras.
Linda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Piano from the State University of New York at Fredonia, and a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from the University of Cincinnati.

SCA Advisory Council
In 2019, the Sarasota Concert Association launched the Advisory Council composed of a group of musical professionals. These individuals bring a wealth of perspectives, insights, and expertise to SCA. Their long involvement with the music industry richly demonstrates their commitment to the arts as an essential part of the human experience. Each will be instrumental in offering meaningful guidance as our organization moves forward.
David Cerone – violinist, pedagogue, adjudicator, and former president of the Cleveland Institute of Music. David served on the SCA Board for seven years.
Samuel C. Dixon – former Executive and Artistic Director of Spivey Hall in Atlanta.
Russell Gant – host and director of WUSF’s classical music programming.
Ann Hobson Pilot – for 40 years principal harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, now resident in Osprey, FL Ann is also a BUTI faculty member.
Frank Salomon – senior administrator of Music Marlboro and, through Frank Salomon Associates, a representative of great classical musicians.
Joseph Volpe – former general manager of the Metropolitan Opera and current executive director of the Sarasota Ballet.
