What to Wear – Most guests dress for an evening out, and the Sarasota vacation life-style lends itself to both comfort and style. Many patrons come in business-appropriate attire or ready for a fancy night on the town.
When to Arrive – Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the concert start time. This will give you enough time to park, find your seat, look over the printed program, and relax before the music begins. If you arrive late, in consideration for the performers and fellow patrons, you will be seated as soon as there is a pause in the music.
Performance Time – Depending on the music performed, concerts vary in length from an hour and a half to two hours, and include one intermission.
When to Applaud – Many works have separate movements or sections. A short pause usually falls in between each of them and it has become customary not to clap during these short pauses. However, we want you to express your joy!
Phones and Recording Devices – We are thrilled when guests take selfies and photos prior to entering the concert hall for their social media posts. However, once seated, before the concert starts, phones should be silenced and put away. Cameras and other recording devices are prohibited. We think you’ll find that fully engaging in the performance will enhance your musical experience.
