WELCOME!

Finding SCA

Whether it’s your first visit or you are looking to enhance your musical experience, we are glad you’re here. Our Great Performers Series concerts are presented at the Van Wezel, 777 N. Tamiami Trail, close to downtown Sarasota, and at Riverview PAC, 1 Ram Way, a few miles south of downtown.

Our free Music Matinees start at noon in David Cohen Hall of the Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center, 709 N. Tamiami Trail – walking distance from the Van Wezel, and close to fantastic lunch spots.

Advance tickets are available only through the our box office or on the evening of performance at the venue.

What to Expect

What to Wear – Most guests dress for an evening out, and the Sarasota vacation life-style lends itself to both comfort and style. Many patrons come in business-appropriate attire or ready for a fancy night on the town.

When to Arrive – Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the concert start time. This will give you enough time to park, find your seat, look over the printed program, and relax before the music begins. If you arrive late, in consideration for the performers and fellow patrons, you will be seated as soon as there is a pause in the music.

Performance Time – Depending on the music performed, concerts vary in length from an hour and a half to two hours, and include one intermission.

When to Applaud – Many works have separate movements or sections. A short pause usually falls in between each of them and it has become customary not to clap during these short pauses. However, we want you to express your joy!

Phones and Recording Devices – We are thrilled when guests take selfies and photos prior to entering the concert hall for their social media posts. However, once seated, before the concert starts, phones should be silenced and put away. Cameras and other recording devices are prohibited. We think you’ll find that fully engaging in the performance will enhance your musical experience.

Ticket Info

Ticket Purchases – Advance tickets are available only through our box office or on the evening of performance at the venue. We no longer have a box office at the Sarasota Ballet.

Ticket Returns – As a qualified 501c3 organization, the tickets you purchased but are unable to use may be donated to SCA up to 24 hours prior to the start of the concert. Tickets donations and contributions in excess of ticket prices are a tax-deductible contribution and donors will receive a letter recognizing their contribution.
